フランスの作家ジュール・ヴェルヌの1864年に刊行された『地底旅行」をもとに作曲された吹奏楽オリジナル作品です。小説は、表面上は冒険物語であるが、小説は主人公の人間的な成長、人間の深部の旅物語を通しての成長を描いています。その小説に描かれているいくつかの場面を時系列にそって音楽が出来上がっています。暗く静かなオープニングから、どんどんと地底の内部に進んでいく、ミステリアスで、いろいろな出会い、戦い、まるで映画のシーンのように夢中にさせてくれます。 - メドレー収録曲
